Sampling Plan
Tags: Quality
A sampling plan is used to assess the overall quality level of a lot based on the number of nonconforming items contained in a random sample drawn from the lot. It forms the basis on which an inspection should be conducted and assessed and details the inspection levels, the sample size and the number of nonconformities (or defects) that will result in a rejected or accepted shipment.
