In-line inspection
Tags: Quality
An in-line inspection is an inspection carried out whilst production is ongoing. It includes the inspection of processes, parts, partially assembled products and finished products where available. Inspection may be conducted at one or more stages of the production process, from incoming raw materials to pre-shipment. The goal of in-line inspection is to identify as early as possible in the process any defects and/or operations that could result in a risk of producing defective finished goods.
